Festive Family Traditions, No.15 in our series #romancingthehome

2 Week to go till Christmas! Can you believe it!!!

I just love this time of year! You would literally have to be the “Grinch” not to enjoy this time of year!

Romancing the Home promised to share all the festive cheer and Traditions that Chrismas brings, but there are just too many to choose from!

Christmas is all about Tradition memories we can pass onto our children and with some luck, they will pass onto theirs!

I’m going to keep this one short and “sweet” (pun intended) but,  I will tell you that this is an absolute winner for the kids!

Ginger Bread Houses!

When my first Daughter Aurora was born, I wanted to make as many memories as I could with her and hope she will pass these down to her children one day.

I thought how sweet for her to decorate a gingerbread house that she could leave out for Santa.

We turned it into a big family affair, friends welcome too!

At first, I will admit I did make these on my own but the year I was pregnant with Luna I was just too sick to do them myself so I asked Talia from My Shabby Shack to help me out with some and I have not looked back since.

All the moms would bring sweets and the kids would play, granted some of the sweets never actually landed upon the house, but that is all part of the fun!

This year and for “pintrest” sake I asked Talia to make a special one for me to use as a centrepiece for my Christmas dessert table on Christmas day.

How Beautiful! All the attention to detail! As usual Talia you out do your self!

All in all, kids had a blast, moms got to make memories with their little ones and the tradition has lasted another year!
